Academy of Natural Science!

Huge thanks to my cousin who was awesome enough to pass on some tickets to the Academy of Natural Science.  A few months back my g/f Jill was nice enough to treat us to the Please Touch Museum so I thought it was fitting to invite her to go.  Fortunately she was available since it was all so last minute and with one ticket left my sister Katie wasn't in school or working so she came too.

The kids had a great time! The place isn't completely geared for children bu they did have a kids learning/play room along with a place to so an "archaeological dig", Fortunately when we went the place was REALLY slow. So we were able to let Brayden and Abby run around and explore things.

The kids LOVED the dinosaur bones.  With in the first 10 mins of being there Brayden decided he loved the t-rex SO much that he would run away from my sister and climb up the step and under the rails to try and touch him.  Not going to lie, as a mother I was mortified! I saw what he was doing as he was about to do it and I ran to grab him but he was faster.  I had to jump the rails just in time to grab him from touching the giant t-rex legs.  I would be the mom who's kid decided to knock down and ruin a t-rex! lol  Fortunately no one from the museum saw and one family even thought it was cute/funny and offered to take pics... umm thanks but no thanks! lol

The kids room was a lot of fun, there were different things for the kids to play with, animals to see and plenty to climb on.  You know Brayden was happy with that!  Unfortunately Brayden has an obsession with trying to put fake play food in his mouth despite my best efforts and it ended up in him getting sick starting with the Runny nose on Tuesday and running a fever till Friday. Yup that's my kid. Picks up any germs everywhere we go.

Overall we had a great time, even though we did get a parking ticking for being less than 10 minutes late on the meter. I THOUGHT we had enough time to get back to the car but apparently I didn't watch the time close enough.  lol

Of course I took tons of pics, here are some of my faves!

The T-rex Brayden just HAD to touch!
What mom I'm digging for dinosaur bones!
 Whats this?!
Only she could make getting eaten by a dino so cute!
Brayden didn't realize there was glass in front of all the displays and kept crashing in to them!
 NOOOO fox pelt!!

 They LOVED petting the turtles!

Busy Week: Paw's Farm, Please Touch Museum and Mom's Group Picnic

Last week was a busy week for Brayden! We had a lot of fun things planned to do!

On Wednesday we headed to Paw's Farm in Mt. Laurel with our playgroup. Brayden had a great time. It was rainy that day so we spend most of the time inside but we made it work.  The place was really cute for kids, they had a barnyard area of animals, a play vet area and various play places.

On Thursday we went to the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia with Jill and Abby! The kids had a great time!  There was so much for them to do and play with we could of spent all day there!    I think at this point in Brayden's development he was at the earliest age to be able to go and play. Most of the kids were older and with him being able to walk so well and being able to play walking and stalking really made a huge difference.  This boy really thinks he is a "big kid" and jumped in playing with all the older kids with no problem.  Thanks again to Aunt Jill for taking us, we had a great day!!! We took SO many pictures so i'm trying to narrow it down to a few. lol I'll post them all on FB later!

On Friday we still had our Mom's Group Picnic at the Red Bank Park by our house! We got to meet a lot more moms and kids and had a great time at the park! Everyone is so great, I really love this group! Brayden has a wonderful time chasing after the kids and trying to play on the "big kid" playground.  We tried to get a big group shot, i think a few kids were missing but not bad considering! :)

The Abigail Tutu!

Abigail! is designed specifically for my g/f' Jill's super cute daughter! Her big sister Jessie is a cheerleader and mom wanted Abby to have a tutu to match her cheer outfit!  I have to say I think this is my FAVORITE so far! But i may be partial since teal is my favorite color. This tutu is three colors with alternating double layers of teal/white and teal/black.

It can also be dubbed as an Philadelphia EAGLES football cheerleader tutu, since it's their team colors!!
Phillies/Yankees/NY Giants and other tutu's can be made in team colors!  :)

Hi ho, Hi Ho, off to the Park we go!

FINALLY two days in a row of nice warm weather!! Of course it's now cold again but I'll take a break when ever i can get it! Since it was so nice out we decided Brayden would get his first trip to the park! We had a great time!  He absolutely loved the swing and had fun going down the slide! We had a great time with Aunt Jill, Abby, Shahana and Maddie! Hopefully next time his other "girlfriends" will get a chance to come play too!
Brayden is just like his mommy and loves to people watch... he had a great time looking at all the kids and going for a walk.  He even got to sit in the "big boy" part of the stroller.  It's amazing what some nice weather can do for your mood! I cant wait for spring and summer!!!

LOVES the swing!!
