Grandma's 60th Birthday!!

We have a nice dinner and cake for Grandma (mom keyser's) 60th Birthday!  And of course I made her a cake!  Anyone that knows mom knows she is all about bunnies, so I had incorporate bunnies in to the chocolate cake she requested!  I think it turned out cute. The chocolate icing wasn't exactly cooperating for me but the bunny and carrots turned out okay.  Hopefully she had a wonderful Birthday!!

Happy Birthday Carter!

This week Lisa, one of the moms from our playgroup ordered a cake and cupcakes for her son Carter's first birthday party! She decided on the adorable theme of Winter ONEderland! She showed me a few photos for inspiration (gotta love Pinterest!) We went with red and blue and snowflakes for the major ideas to coordinate.  I think everything turned out pretty cute. The snowflake design was MUCH harder than I anticipated for the cake.  I tried a few different methods and ended up royal icing stenciling the big snowflake on top and doing the sides freehand. I did add pearl beads to the snowflake on the top. I think it def added to it. I forgot to take an updated photo afterwards.  The toppers turned out cute considering my photoshop was not working and i had to improvise. I would of loved to done more detail work on them.

Happy 1st Birthday Carter!

Happy Birthday Dad Keyser!

On Sunday we celebrated Dad Keyser's birthday a day early.  We had a great dinner and I made a cake for dessert.  We had a great time and of course Brayden had a ball getting in to everything, pushing Tupperware around the house and playing with his Elmo balloon grandma and grandpa got him! I was FINALLY able to get some pictures of Dad and Brayden together. Bray always refuses to sit still and tries to climb on him when we try and get shots of them together. lol  Brayden and Mommy made grandpa a birthday crown with pictures of him and grandpa.  He was a good sport and let us take pictures!   For the cake I did a Yankees theme, OF COURSE! Anyone that knows mom and dad Keyser knows it's ALL about the Yankees!  Brayden also helped mommy make the cake by taste testing. Looks like i'm going to have a big helper in the kitchen!

Yes, after the fact I though I prob shouldn't of let him lick it b/c it wasn't cooked
batter and it was chocolate but he survived. lol I LOVE the tongue sticking through!!!

 He had a blast!!
