Happy 3rd Birthday Riley!

Yes, I'm blogging about my dogs birthday! And YES i am one of those that "celebrates" their dogs birthday. I didn't go crazy or anything but she did get a special dinner, which she lovingly threw up (yeah a gift for ME!) lol, and we gave her a pancake with 3 candles in it.  If you know my dog I always joke that she is 3 shades of retarded. Seriously! Sometimes she does stuff that baffles me, she hates outside, REALLY? a dog that doesn't want to go outside, can't drive in the car with out being sedated, the list goes on. BUT I do love her. She may be a little "special" but she's my special puppy.  lol  Even more Brayden REALLY loves her and she makes him laugh and smile all day which makes all all of her shenanigans worth it.  :)

So the pancake... I knew this would be trouble, this dog can't be near food with out jumping on it. I have tried all kinds of training since we got her at 4 months and she's just nuts. I had to hold her collar while we sang her happy birthday, hence the crazy face in her pics. Then she decided to put the candles out with her nose. She didn't get hurt or anything but it was seriously hilarious.  Yes i am that amused. You had to be there.

Disregard her nails! lol she literally attacks you when you cut her nails b/c she gets this seasonal allergy where her paws rash out so she doesn't like them touched when they are okay.   I didn't cut them till after the pic. 

These two are trouble!

It looks like Brayden and Riley (our dog) are going to be TROUBLE together! They are too much. The dog as of now seems to be afraid of the baby. Not exactly afraid but he LOVES her. Just looking at her makes him laugh! It is the cutes thing. He loves chasing after her and she always runs away! But the second he is in the highchair they are suddenly best friends! Brayden finally figured out that if he holds his food over the side of the chair she will come over (which he loves) and she gets a treat.  I can see this turning in to something very bad! lol

Ok I am seriously a picture addict.. but it's amazing how much Brayden changes/learns on a day to day basis, it's so much fun watching him grow, smile and play!

Day in the life with Brayden, Jack and Riley : /

I love my pets but sometimes they drive me nuts! Jack is our orange tabby and Riley is an american eskimo mix that looks like a yellow lab. Today was another one of "those" days where it was one thing after another. Since Brayden was having a day of screaming because of his teething and reflux it was already a pretty stressful day. Sometimes i think it's a collaborative conspiracy to see who can drive me nuts first or be the most annoying. lol

Todays goals must of included:
1. Jack- interrupting all of Braydens feedings by insisting he MUST be pet and lay on top of the baby
2. Riley- incessantly barking right after i JUST get the screaming baby to close his eyes and take a nap
3. Jack and Riley - see how many times they can run in front of mommy and try and trip her
4. Riley- insist that the second i try and feed, change or rock Brayden is the PERFECT time to have to pee
5. Jack- try to sneak outside everytime the dog has to go out
6. Riley- try and sneak in to the other room and eat all of the cats food
7. Jack- put his paws in the water dish to play and try to drag the bowl across the floor
8. Jack and Riley - see how many times they antagonize each other so a chasing match starts resulting in them knocking things over

Needless to say they SUCCEEDED at all of thier goals for the day. LOL 

Of course AFTER the baby goes to bed they decide to cooperate!
